The National Judicial Council
(NJC) has vowed that none of its judges would be suspended from presiding over
cases on account of the recent allegation levelled against them by the
Department of State Security Service (DSS). In a statement issued Friday, the
body described as unacceptable, the position of Nigerian Bar Association on the
affected judges. NBA through its leadership had on Thursday in Abuja
recommended that those judges, whose houses were raided by the DSS or arrested,
cease to preside over cases or proceed on leave pending the outcome of investigation
on the matter.
