Dholu asks Mayank the reason for copying his look. Mayank tries to brush it away but Dholu tells him that he knows the reason and confronts him, that he has worn white because it's Gunjan’s favourite colour. Mayank tells him that it's no big deal because Dholu anyway happens to be Gunjan’s blue eyed boy. They all get ready to go to the restaurant. At the restaurant, Mayank asks Dayal to order but he lovingly says that Rachna knows his choice. Shail’s cool with anything. Seema frowns at the rates. Rachna orders some dish and Seema tells her to choose something else since it happens to be 125 Rupees. But Rachna is adamant on her choice. Gunjan orders Mushroom masala to which Sangeeta is pleasantly surprised and Dholu orders a plate of noodles. Seema orders papad since it costs only 25 bucks. Mayank happens to throw a few glances at Gunjan without her knowledge and is happy to see her smiling. Dinner is served; Rachna states that she’ll cherish this dinner forever and tells everyone how Gunjan used to go out with Sneha and her father after her results for dinner. Mayank blurts out wanting to make Gunjan realize that he staged a dinner on purpose for her sake. Gunjan excuses herself and goes outside the hotel to a quiet place; Mayank follows her as well. She talks to herself that she can't really understand him and how she has a mixed opinion on him. Mayank hears and sits next to her. The precap scene is shown where he tells her that he knows his mistake and is trying his best to rectify it. He extends his hand and says, ‘Friends?’ Gunjan happily gets up this time and shakes hands with him leaving Mayank beaming with joy.
Next day, everyone is busy preparing for Teej and Gunjan asks them about this festival. Shail, Seema and Sangeeta happily explain to her everything. Mayank and Rachna are present as well. Gunjan gets to know that spinsters can keep a nirjala vrath (fast without water) as well and its just not meant for married women. She plays on the swing and May just goes on admiring her. She says that she’ll fast as well to get a good husband. She goes on to say that there will be some guy made for her. He has to keep a fast for her too and it should not be one sided. Mayank is overjoyed listening to all this and teases her in between. Seema jokingly says that Shail will have a really tough time finding a guy for Gunjan who can bear all her drama. Mayank looks really happy and excited throughout. Mayank’s father comes in between and tells Rachna that she failed to get a seat in Swami Vivekananda University as she missed out on 4%. Rachna is visibly sad but he cheers her up that they’ll check out other colleges and sends her on an errand to make tea for him. Rachna leaves and Gunjan follows her to the kitchen. She shares her concerns; Chhaya comes in between and distributes sweets between the two informing them of her admission in the same university. They’re surprised that she managed to get a seat with just 60%. Chhaya then tells them that her father’s brother knows the trustee and so she ended up getting it. Rachna is sad that her marks failed to acquire her an admission despite getting 82%. Mayank decides to help them and tells Rachna to produce her sports certificates since she’s good at hockey. Gunjan is startled to hear this and beams with happiness. They plan to submit this through the sports quota available there and get an admission in Swami Vivek. University. Rachna slowly passes on the certificates to Mayank and Maye tells Shail that he’s going to the university to try his luck again. Mayank wants Gunjan to come too so he tells Shail making it sound like she’ll have a trip looking at her new college. Gunjan refuses at first but agrees to go with further persuation. Mayank as usual is on cloud mood and they leave. They wait outside for an auto. Gunjan asks one auto guy to go to the college but Mayank signals him from behind to say no. The driver just moves on without answering leaving Gunjan fuming. A shocked Gunjan now asks Mayank on how they will commute to which Mayank says that since walking is not a feasible option, he’ll use his bike which is lying in a nearby garage. Gunjan is excited and asks if he can ride. He says, ‘mein toh uske saath daud sakta hoon’ leaving a pumped up Gunjan.
Gunjan and Mayank picked up his motorcycle and started riding to the college. Mayank stares at Gunjan through the motorcycle mirror and they have romantic moments. Mayank and Gunjan ride by an angry Mintu who stares at Gunjan. Back in Dayal house, Sangeetas husband surprises her with gold jewellery and then Seema is yelling at her husband for giving her real gold jewellery. Dayal comes in and gifts Shail a saree. Meanwhile, Mayank and Gunjan reaches the college, Gunjan say to Mayank she will go and check out her courses, he ask to help her but she says no and tells him to help Rachna with her admission instead. Rachna is worried why Mayank and Gunjan haven't come home. Shail asks her why is she so worried and she tells Shail she is worried, because she is afraid Gunjan won't get an admission in the college. Just then Mayank and Gunjan walk in and Rachna asks Mayank what happen. She gets discouraged when Mayank didn't say anything but then he pulls her to the side and tells her that what happen in order to get an admission she will need to take in a hockey test to prove to the college. Shail asks Gunjan is Mayank talking to Rachna about it and Gunjan nods her head. Shail asks Mayank to fill her in and he shows her Rachna's Hockey certificate, Shail gets excited and asks Rachna how she could not tell her mother that she was this good in hockey. Shail tells the kids not to tell anybody about the hockey test Rachna will have to participate in, just then Sangeeta walks in and everybody gets scared thinking she has heard. Sangeeta just tells Shail to hurry as the Tej puja will start soon. Shail tells Rachna, Gunjan and Mayank to get ready and they take off to the temple. At the temple, Rachna, Gunjan and Dolu are giggling and having fun as Mayank is admiring Gunjan from a distance. Shail comes and tells the girls to stop talking and begin praying to the lord. Rachna and Gunjan go and pray to Lord and Rachna asks to help her pass her hockey test tomorrow, Gunjan also asks for the same thing for her sister. Shail prays that no evil eye will come for her 2 daughters, Mintu is hiding behind a pole giving an evil stare at Rachna and Gunjan.
Back at the house, the girls are all getting their Mehndi done while Mayank is sitting watching Gunjan. Dolu tells Gunjan that the Mehndi looks so beautiful on her hands and Shail tells Gunjan that Dolu is absolutely crazy about her, Gunjan teases that she has taken the trouble away from Sangeeta Chachi aunt and Seema and Sangeeta stare at her rudely. Gunjan says that Dolu is the perfect groom for her, and Mayank teases that Gunjan shouldn’t marry anyone from outside she should stay in this house and that is all. Seema gives Mayank a dirty look and Sangeeta says she is going to find a good girl for Dolu just like Charu. Gunjan tells Rachna to get her Mehndi done too and Rachna refuses but Gunjan makes her. Rachna happily sits beside Gunjan to begin her Mehndi and all are having a good time until the door bell rings.
