The next generation of Toyota Corolla, which is expected to be the company’s 50th edition may lead compact sedan market, but the one feature it doesn’t offer is thrills. Toyota had unveiled a special edition of the vehicle, as the organisation boasted that the 2017 edition would come a 1.8-liter four-cylinder makes 132 hp—140 hp in the LE Eco model—and drives the front wheels through a six-speed manual or a CVT. Besides a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth is standard across the variations but can be upgraded to a 7.0-inch unit with navigation. At least, Toyota has sold about 43 million of the cars since it was introduced in 1966, making the vehicle one of the company’s best selling cars. Toyota’s Safety Sense P (TSS-P), an active safety package that combines the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA), Automatic High Beams and other safety measures combine to deliver value in the 2017 Corolla an edge.With a total new look, 2017 Corolla seems to get closer to Camry in appearance. While Toyota is making diffident changes, Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra are getting much more serious about the segment.
